Who We Serve

If any of this sounds familiar, you're in the right place.

Most people who come through our doors have tried other programs. They’ve cycled in and out of treatment. They’ve lost jobs, family, and hope. Some are court-ordered. Some come on their own. Many just need to know someone is still in their corner.

We work with the whole family โ€” not just the person in recovery. Because when one person hurts, the whole family hurts.

Why Open Door is Different

We don't focus on what went wrong. We focus on what comes next.

Unlike programs that define people by their failures, we create an environment of acceptance, love, and accountability built around Christ and real community.

We Never Remove You for Relapse

Relapse is part of recovery for many people. We teach truth, love, and a productive life โ€” and we keep walking with you through the hard parts.

Christ-Centered, Not Shame-Centered

Our foundation is the Word of God, not condemnation. We point people toward freedom, not their past. The atmosphere here is acceptance and unity.

The Whole Family is Welcome

Children’s Ministry runs alongside adult classes so kids are cared for while parents participate. Family meals every week reinforce that togetherness matters.

Highly Qualified Leaders

Our volunteers include retired teachers, social workers, nurses, and business professionals โ€” all giving their time in the areas where they’re most equipped.

State Certified Programs

Certified through the TN Dept. of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services, with court-recognized parenting and anger management certifications.

Every Program Is Free

No admittance fees. No cost for classes, meals, or certifications. We also research and recommend residential facilities that don’t charge admittance fees.

Our Programs

Everything you need. All at no cost.

From recovery support to discipleship to jail ministry, every program is designed to rebuild lives and restore families.

Real Stories

This is what change looks like.

“We stepped up to help her with the courts. She received her children back โ€” with a job, a home, and the whole family attending our classes.”

Mary Jo came to us through the Hardin County jail recovery program. She’d been to treatment before with no lasting results. She had five children in DCS custody and no clear path forward.

She completed every requirement. She showed up every week. Our team walked alongside her through the courts, the setbacks, and the hard days. She still struggles sometimes. But she still has her children.
